Dental Staff

Dr. Rosenberger received his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and his Doctor of Dental 
Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota. He then completed a one-year U.S. Army General Practice residency and then practiced 9 years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. During that time, he served at Ft. Carson, CO; Nurnberg Germany; Ft. Sam Houston, TX; and finally, here in St. Louis where he met and married Dr. Ewell. Together they started Woodland Dental Care in 1990. 

Dr. Rosenberger and Dr. Ewell have two daughters, Angelyn and Lauralyn. Angelyn currently works at Woodland Dental Care as a dentist and Lauralyn works as a pastry chef in Viroqua, Wisconsin. 

Dr. Rosenberger also volunteers for Give Kids a Smile, a national program started in St. Louis, that provides free dental care to underprivileged children. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and Greater St. Louis Dental Society. In June 2021, he completed a fellowship degree for the Academy of General Dentistry. 

Dr. Rosenberger has many hobbies outside of dentistry, some of which include tropical fish, gardening, and restoration of old cars. He also races cars at road courses across the Midwest, including the Worldwide Technology raceway here in St. Louis!

Dr. Ewell received her bachelor’s degree and her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Washington University here in St. Louis. She served for nine years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps Reserves, where she served at Ft. Irwin, Ca; Ft. Carson, CO; Ft. Lewis, WA; and here in St. Louis at Jefferson Barracks. In St. Louis, she met and married Dr. Rosenberger. They founded Woodland Dental Care in 1990. 

Dr. Ewell currently works two half days at WDC and worked for the Gateway to Oral Health program for over 15 years. Gateway is a service organization that brings dental equipment and services to Medicaid-eligible children in their schools. Dr. Ewell found the work with these children both enjoyable and rewarding.

During her free time, Dr. Ewell takes piano and taekwondo lessons. She earned her second-degree black belt in taekwondo in December 2020. Dr. Ewell is also a highly active member of Florissant Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Angelyn is the daughter of Dr. Rosenberger and Dr. Ewell and has been practicing alongside them since 2019. Dr. Angelyn is a Hazelwood West 2011 graduate, received her bachelor’s degree from Truman State University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from UMKC School of Dentistry, where she was awarded the Dean’s Academic Distinction Award for graduating top in her class! She loves working and learning from her parents and is excited to treat the community she grew up in.

Dr. Angelyn is an active member of the dental community. She currently serves on the Greater St. Louis Dental Society New Dentist Committee, Missouri Dental Association House of Delegates, and is the Co-Founder of the St. Louis Chapter for American Association of Women Dentists.

During her spare time, Dr. Angelyn enjoys spending time with friends, exercising, and traveling to new places!
